CRAZE is a podcast series that dives into different trends from across the years. It will have you laughing, learning and saying “Oh yeah, I remember that!!”.
In something of a first for students at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) CRAZE has been created as part of the final collaborative project in the Graduate Diploma of Radio and Podcasting.
From playground fads to social phenomena, Neopets to the novel, CRAZE delves into the stories behind trends and why they take hold. CRAZE ponders questions like: How can the fidget spinner be linked to societal changes? What does a mullet say about its wearer? Why have vampires become a pop culture obsession?
Some of the stats and stories you’ll hear are eye-opening. Yes, these stories delve deeply into nostalgia, but they also invite closer analysis of the crazes we’ve always taken for granted.
Listen to CRAZE via the iHeartRadio app, on desktop and smart devices, such as Apple TV and smart speaker, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can also follow CRAZE on Instagram (@craze_podcast) and TikTok (@craze_podcast), and read more about the trends that shaped us by checking out the articles and episodes here on the site.
